17. Do I need to have a foundation or make any site preparation?
- The container is defined as a mobile self container unit. By its construction a formidable foundation is integrated into the floor. The most crucial aspect of site preparation for your container is that the ground is level. You may pour a cement foundation or you may simply level the ground and place a layer of pea gravel for drainage purposes only. If your ground is flat and you are not concerned with settling or drainage issues then the container may rest directly on the ground. Some people choose to drop their container on railroad ties to afford even more drainage clearance.

- Cinderblocks tend to crumble and deteriorate with time and are not recommended, however railroad ties have proven to be resilient

- All rental containers come with a security lock box. The right door overlaps the left door. You may open the right door and walk in or open up both doors. Each door is balanced and made to be operated in unison. When opening the door lift both handles out of the locking dogs and swing up and out to the outer edge of the container.
